Dental Implants

Wilson, Greenville, Goldsboro, Rocky Mount, North Carolina

Dental implants provide the only permanent solution for missing teeth. Unlike other tooth replacement options such as dentures or dental bridges, dental implants are secured into your jawbone, making them the strongest, most ideal option for restoring function and beauty to your smile.

Some dentists in our area focus on only one aspect of the dental implant procedure, requiring you to visit more than one dentist to have your implants placed. At our office, our dentists personally sees to every part of your procedure. Diagnosis, treatment planning, and placement are all done in our comfortable Wilson, North Carolina office, reducing the stress and hassle of multiple doctors and unnecessary periods of waiting.

Our office currently has four of our dentists who perform dental implant procedures.  Dr. Boles, Jr., Dr. Harvey Ham, and Dr. Scott Dixon have all received additional training specific to dental implants and are highly skilled to perform these types of procedures.  View Our Dentists page to learn more about our dental implant dentists.

Dental Implants at Boles, Ham, Dixon & Boles

Our doctors have extensive training and years of experience in placing dental implants. When you come to our office for your free dental implant consultation, our dentists will carefully examine the structure of your jaw and the impact of your missing teeth. If you are a candidate for dental implants, our dentists will customize a treatment plan that will allow you to feel like you have a full set of natural teeth once again.

To place the implant, the doctor will need to make a small hole in your jawbone. This is done while under anesthesia, and should cause no discomfort at all. For patients who are nervous about dental procedures, our dentists can discuss your options for sedation dentistry during your consultation.

Once the hole has been made, the implant itself will be secured into your jawbone. Dental implants are made from titanium, a biocompatible metal that provides more strength than your natural tooth roots. A dental crown is then placed over the implant. However, implants can also be used as anchors for one or more dentures. The false tooth most suited to meet your needs will be determined during your initial consultation.

The success rate for implants placed at our office is incredibly high. If you have had implants placed at another office and are in need of restoration, our doctors can also provide this important service.
